Cozy Cornbread 🌽

A loaf of cornbread is a autumn classic that is super fun and easy to make. This is my favorite recipe when it comes to making this quintessential fall meal.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of flour

1/2 cup of cornmeal

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1/3 teaspoon of baking soda

1 tablespoon of sugar

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 large egg

1/2 cup of milk

2 tablespoons of olive oil

1/2 tablespoon of butter, for pan

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter bread pan (8in. by 3in.) and set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt. Form a well in the middle for wet ingredients.

  3. In a small bowl, combine milk, egg, olive oil and vanilla extract.

  4. Gently pour the wet ingredients into the pre-made well and mix until combined.

  5. Pour into prepared pan making sure that the pan is evenly covered.

  6. Put into oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the crust is a golden brown color.

  7. Let cool before serving!
